Bean's New Pad

                                                   Baby Changing Station

Wandering what the metal contraption is? Well Kb plays Disc Golf. I doubt when he got his Disc Golf cage years ago he thought it would ever be used as a "toy box", but for now it is!
Where the Bean gets its sleep on!

                                                   KB adding some final adjustments

BluBlockers- tiny room dividers so kitties can't lounge about the room, but still can make it to their closets. As you can see it is already working with Wicket watching from the outside.

Finished product. Bean has its own Disc Golf mini cage!

More decorations will come over time as we get to know the Bean and what he or she likes. Also finding out if it is a he or she will definitely give us a direction for its eclectic room.

What time is it???

Up since 4 am. Can't sleep. Not because of contractions. Not because KB is sleeping sideways in bed so that he and Wicket have enough space to sleep. Nope. Mind is racing, but not about anything important. The only thing on my mind right now is WHY WILL THIS BABY NOT COME!!! Doctor's want to induce if this little guy does not bust out by Thursday. It does not line up with "my plan", but whatever needs to happen for health of the Bean.
On Saturday I decided to take a leisure stroll hoping to work up some contractions. I took one step off curb and it felt as though my inner thighs were jell-o. Something might have snapped- I am not sure I was trying to avoid the on coming cars. Note to self and other pregnant people: When 9 months pregnant do not race against traffic. Your hips and body are adjusting!  I am pretty sure I pulled something. I just started walking again. I crawled around until KB got home and then had the fun times of having him help me around like an old lady. Accidentally put pain relieving gel in my eyes- blinded! We could not help but laugh hysterically about it all. I can walk now but still not that well and with some odd pain but I think that involves the baby pushing down as well.
Oh the joys! I know it will soon be over....On a nicer note we finished the baby's room! Pictures to come!

Switch a Roo

I just had the most fantastic weekend with my sister and her hubby. It was nice to see them before the Bean's arrival. One last hooray before there is 3 and not just the 2 of us. Nothing to exciting just good meals and good conversation- that is very exciting for us! During the rain on Saturday night we thought there was a gang shoot out but no some how a transformer blew right outside our building so we all were put to bed a bit early by candle light and KB strumming his guitar. Mel gave me a wonderful head to toe massage- practicing for the BIG day! After walking for a wee bit my feet look like they been stung by bees and she was kind enough to massage them. Yeah!!! I would say I gave KB a break from the massage but the truth be told I asked him for rub down later.
Waiting the arrival has got me thinking about so many things. One thing I can never over state enough is what is brewing inside me? A boy or girl? I merely want a boy because I loves the boys name and I want a girl because the clothing choices are amazing! Through out the pregnancy we have thought we were having a boy- just a wild guess. The same thought my bestie had- I told her she jinxed herself into a girl- which she did. Now I feel we have done the same....we have no real preference and now I have no real feeling one way or another we just know we are definitely having a baby and soon! xo

Little Diddy

Dear Bean,
Hello I am your Mom. It's funny to introduce myself to you that way but we will come to some name agreement eventually. You have heard my voice for the last 9 months or so. Your Papa says hello. He is the one with the scruffy beard that tickles my belly and makes me laugh when he talks to you. So many people have rubbed the belly for good luck and little blessings. We are so excited to meet you. And to see who and what you are! I look forward to teaching you so much about the world with open mind. I look so forward to all the things you will be teaching us. You have already taught us so much in the last 9 months. About ourselves, our relationship, and about pregnancy. You are so lucky to have a father who has been catering to your every whim or mine :) We have no plans for your future but a healthy and happy one. Thank you for maintaining your health and moving like a mad person inside me. I get lonely when I don't feel you move. Then sure enough you let me know you are there with a swift kick to the ribs. Thank you. So many people are excited to meet you. Soon you will be here and we look forward to your Birth Day! Just wanted to send you a little letter saying if you felt the need to come before the 2nd of March then we would be just fine with that- perhaps this Friday! See you soon.

All Its Glory

Well here is my "little" baby bump. KB added some Valentine Love to it! I think yesterday did not do it justice. Same old same old around here today. We are making a Japanese screen that lead into the baby's room so we can block the cats from entering. Seeing one of them has ninja skills this has been quite the chore, but today we figured it out so hopefully in time we can show some pics of the baby's room. Today was a nice morning with KB. He did not having any training sessions this morning so we were able to go to our favorite breakfast place- Nat's Early Bite- and catch some tasty breakfast before he was off to work. I am just cleaning and organizing our place! Well off to get some dinner ready. xoxox

15 Days

9 Months

I went to the Doctor on Friday and all is good with the Little Bean. Heart rate good, in proper position, and big! At least to me when she squishes him around to get his heart it feels huge. Through out my Dr.'s appointments the baby has been so tiny that it would squirm away from getting its heart monitored. Now it just turns its back and pushes into me- there's no escaping. It is amazing that it has gotten this big. The first thing our Dr. told us was get ready because when the Bean starts crawling it's going to be fast little one. Never did I imagine having a baby, and now within he next 15 days or so the expiration date on my little package is up! I will holding him or her. There is no turning back. It's not like a tattoo you get or test that is been coming up that you can avoid- this baby is coming and very soon! The Dr. told me I have come full term and the baby could come any day now, but she does not expect it to happen until week 40!

Today is our last Valentine's Day together- meaning that last one for a very long time that is just the two of us. I look forward to little Valentine's Day parties for the Bean. Every Thursday KB and I have had a date night. We started this a few months into the pregnancy recognizing A. We will not be going out much for awhile and B. It will not just be the two of us. Yes there are babysitters but its nice for the quiet time we have now. Plus we plan on exploring the "fancy places" for our dinners out when the Bean comes- Chucky Cheeses and any other fun game places we can take the Bean for entertainment (or for our own entertainment).

Off to get my surprise evening ready for KB! Happy Valentine's Day! xoxox

Taking a Breath

Well I am in the last week of work and completely exhausted everyday. So please give me a moment to get caught up. Nothing exciting this has been going on. I am getting my stomach casted hopefully next week. So that is all I am looking forward too. Just need the Bean to hold on. In the mean time I have been practicing my breathing and educating myself. One video I have seen before but decided to watch again is "The Business of Being Born", and reading "The Happiest Baby on the Block". So please stay tuned as I finish my last week of work. I have so new belly pictures to show as well. xo

Smile

There are some things I have really enjoyed about pregnancy and some things I have not. One of the things I have enjoyed the most is how nice everyone is. Where ever I go I get a smile, a ton of them! Some may think this should be an every day occurrence but it is not. People are nice enough to let me go first to the bathroom. Pick things up that I drop or are just to heavy. I enjoy my bump! I did not think I would ever say that, but I do. I like rubbing it, I love talking and singing to it! I love the movement- no matter one time day it is (usually 4:30 AM).  I love it when KB talks it. Imagine a dog that gets really excited and wiggles it tail uncontrollably- that is how I feel the baby reacts when KB talks.
I love the food! I love that I was pregnant during the holidays. I had no guilt about the weight gain. My doctor might have felt different. I did workout a bit and hike quite a bit during most of my pregnancy so that I hope has balanced me out a bit.
I do miss sleeping on my belly or laying on my back. I wish my feet did not hurt, I think they are bruised from the excessive weight I have been carrying around. I miss coloring my hair. I miss cocktails and wine. I miss taking baths. I still take them but quite uncomfortable- I need a jacuzzi size.  I miss clothes- my clothes- a wide variety of clothes and shoes!! I miss SUSHI and SAKE!!
Besides all the good and bad the thing what most excites me is what in the heck am I having???? Boy or Girl it does not matter we just want to know!!

30 Days

In exactly 30 days (more or less) we are expecting the Kings arrival. We are very excited and busy getting Bean's room ready. Also, getting ourselves ready as well. We feel fully prepared and unprepared all at the same time! I have had a healthy and glowing pregnancy this far and hope it follows all the way to the end. The first few months were hell! Being pregnant during the holidays made up for all that was lost :) KB has been the best support. He may grit his teeth when I bat my lashes for the second foot massage for the day but he will always do it and get me a glass of juice too. He has cooked and pampered me so much through out all of this. I always new he was the best friend and man anyone could really have! This has all been so unexpected and surprising for us every day. I cannot forget the first time we saw the Bean aka Skeletor on our 3D/4D ultrasound. So tiny but moving crazy inside of me. I am not sure when I first felt its kick, but I do remember it gets the hiccups a lot...Probably all the spicy food we eat! We are so excited to see what excitement the person brings to us and to our families.
Here are some little inspirations we have been using for the babies room.

KB has been working hard making Origami Birds for a mobile...
Our crib is very simple like this one, and KB found some wall decals. No painting yet, we are not sure we will be in the same place this time next year.
I love the idea of hanging clothes from a tree branch. Not sure if we will use this idea here, but most likely in the future. We are not set on any one way for decoration. Once we know the sex and the little one's personality a bit more I am sure the eclectic room will come together.
